Thank You
How did we meet... Well let me tell you! Josie and I both signed up to be community advisors in the dorms at Minnesota State University – Mankato. We were assigned to different halls of the same building. On the first day of training everyone met as a group in the lobby to head to the first training session across campus. On the way I found myself walking next to Josie and we struck up a conversation. To this day I still remember our first chat because there was something about the way that she talked to me that made me think she was someone special. Later that day I was disappointed to learn she was already in a relationship. Over the course of the year we got to know each other better and became good friends. My favorite nights on duty were the nights I was on duty with Josie. It wasn’t until a few years later though that Josie and I started dating.
Mike and I had a couple extra PTO days to use for the year and on a whim decided to drive out west to see the total solar eclipse. The weeks leading up to our trip we converted his truck into the “Adventure-mobile” so that we could camp out of the back of his truck. We drove through the Badlands, past Mount Rushmore, through the Thunder Basin National Grasslands, and across Wyoming. We found the perfect camping spot in the Shoshone National Forest, where we were surrounded by mountains along Brooke’s Lake. The solar eclipse was amazing! The sky got dark and the temperature dropped as the moon covered the sun. As soon as the totality was finished it started to get light again, and that’s when Mike pulled a ring out of his pocket and asked, “Is it bright enough to see this?” Then he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I said yes and we kissed!
Your love, laughter and company on our wedding day is the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to help us celebrate with a gift, we have a registry at Target for your convenience.

Q: Do we have to do the traditional formal pictures?
A: No, absolutely not! Our style is genuine, and that is what makes us different. Though formals are nice, it is the shots with raw emotion, the ones we get when our couples don't know we are photographing them, that people fall in love with.
Q: Do I really have to wait 4 weeks to get my images after my wedding day? 1 month seems a bit long….
A: We say that to allow cushion just in case of emergencies. In most cases, you will receive your images in less than 4 weeks.
Q: I often hear that couples regret not investing in a good photographer on their wedding day. Tell me why this is?
A: It is soo very important to invest in your wedding photography. It is key to know, that this will be the only means to any memory that you will have, that is a true representation of how beautiful the day was. Doing your research, and asking the right questions is very important. You hear time and time again, people regretting not investing in a good photographer. You never hear someone regret spending too much on a photographer!
We want our couples to be very confident in their choice of photographer. It is not only important make sure our styles match, but to also make sure our personalities match as well! Please contact us to set up a wedding consultation, free of charge. Here we can get to know one another, answer any questions you have, and show you our latest wedding images and products.

Sydnie is currently a junior at Eau Claire North High School where she keeps busy as an impressive student-athlete. I am so proud of all she’s accomplished and love being so close to home to watch her excel both academically, in the community and as a three-sport athlete. Sydnie is incredibly passionate, smart, hard-working, and beautiful on the inside and out! I admire her drive and determination in anything she sets her mind to. It was quite a simple decision to have Sydnie stand beside as me as my Maid of Honor on our wedding day.
Halle is a 7th Grader at Northstar Middle School. If she’s not kicking around a soccer ball or bumping a volleyball, you can find her painting, drawing, or using her creativity and incredible artistic abilities to create amazing artwork. Despite our age difference, Halle and I are the best of friends and we share such a special bond. I adore her big heart, kind soul and compassion for others. Halle truly makes being a big sister the greatest blessing in the world and there was no doubt in my mind that she stand beside me as a Co (Junior) Maid of Honor with Sydnie.
Mallory and I have been friends since 5th grade where we met, playing on the same traveling basketball team. Our friendship continued to strengthen over the years where we bonded over sports and our perfectionism as students. As teenagers, you could find us together studying, working on an extra-credit project, and of course hanging out. I had the privilege of graduating high school with Mal and then go on to UW-Madison and graduate from the School of Business with her. We will forever bond over our love/hate relationship with school. Mallory lives in the Appleton area where she works in Supply Chain for Kimberly Clark. I admire Mallory’s heart of gold, her strong work ethic and her fun-loving personality and am blessed to have known her for over 15 years!
Renae and I have been friends since Middle School. Renae has always brought out the extrovert and social butterfly in me and growing up you could often find the two of us laughing, cracking jokes and having fun. I appreciate her witty sense of humor, ability to make anyone around her laugh, and her zest for life! Renae lives and works in Utah. Although our careers and lives after high school and college have brought us across the country from each other, our friendship continues to remain strong despite the distance. You can expect Renae to be the life of the party (with a glass of wine in each hand) at our wedding!
Laura and I met in our freshman English class at UW-Madison. It wasn’t long before we were the best of friends as we quickly found out how much we had in common and got a kick out of our all too similar Type-A personalities! I’m not sure I would have survived my 4 years at UW without her. The majority of our college careers were spent together, whether that be in the classroom, studying in the library, and of course experiencing what the UW-Madison party scene was all about. Although I wish we lived closer, Laura’s success in her career with Kohl’s has brought her to Indiana. Laura is incredibly thoughtful and the definition of an amazing and life-long friend and I’m so thankful that our paths crossed on that first week of college!
Michelle and I were random roommates as Freshman in college. We connected so well that we lived the entirety of our college careers together and remain great friends today. Yes, she somehow put up with living with me for 4 straight years! I’ve always admired her brightness, work ethic, and maturity. Luckily, Michelle lives close to me and in the twin cities area, so every now and then we are able to step away from our busy work lives and hang out or grab dinner together. She currently works for Optum in Project Management and has recently bought her own condo! She succeeds in everything she sets out to accomplish and I’m thankful our careers have brought us to the same state again!
Olivia is my beautiful (and not so little anymore) cousin. She is currently a Freshman at Lakeville South High School where you can find her being a social butterfly and participating on the dance team. She loves all things fashion and beauty and will likely be the next famous beauty blogger! When Trent and I moved to the Twin Cities area, we spent quite a bit of time with Olivia and grew very close when we lived just a bedroom away for 8 months as we were buying our first home. Olivia has a beautiful soul, a witty sense of humor, and a giving heart and we are so blessed to have her standing beside us in June!
Trevor works for Reclaimed Rustic Woodworks near Phillips, WI. My brother and I were very close growing up in Jefferson. One of our favorite things to do was to play wiffle ball against each other in the backyard. Trevor is a very handy person and I am thankful for all of the help he has given me over the years. He’s a constant go-to when I’m unsure of how to do something (which let’s face it, is a lot!). I am very lucky to have a brother who is there for me in good times and in bad.
Ryan currently works for the city of Janesville as a Firefighter/EMT. We had many good times growing up and memories at our grandparents house, camping with the cousins, and as we got older, deer hunting. I look up to Ryan for his outstanding work ethic and level-headed decision making.
Dan currently teaches in the Racine Unified School District. Dan and I became good friends from the time we met at UW-Whitewater when we were in the same Freshman Orientation group, living in the same dorm. We were also in the same Intro to PE class, and went through the entire PE program together. We had many classes together and would bounce ideas off of each other to help us get through the grind of classes. Of course our passion for sports always leads to some very good discussions: Yes, the Packers should fire McCarthy, Brett Favre left too early, and Wisconsin will always be better than Marquette! I can count on Dan for an honest opinion about anything whether it is sports, school, or life!
Billy is currently a police officer for the City of Fort Atkinson. We became friends in kindergarten at St. John’s in Jefferson and from that time on not only did we become close but so did our families. We would spend our summers playing baseball together followed by an annual camping trip to some state park in Wisconsin. In the fall we played football together and in the winter we would play basketball. I admire his strong work ethic and ability to look at the big picture.
Keegan is the owner of Wedl Construction. Keegan and I met in kindergarten and went to school together through high school. Boy did we give Mr. Frisque a run for his money in 6th grade. We played football and baseball together and our senior year we played center and guard, right next to each other. When I bought my first house, Keegan was a huge help as I am the furthest thing from a handy person. When working on it he would often say “well, good enough for this house!” I am extremely appreciative that he’s always there for any of our friends whether it is to help out, talk, or to just do something fun.
Neil is a police officer for the City of Jefferson. I met Neil in middle school playing football together and basketball against each other. Little did I know that in 7th grade we would play football together for the next 6 years and be captains together for our junior and senior year of high school. We would spend many nights at his house in high school playing cards or video games. I look to him for his honesty and blunt personality.
Bryant is currently a manager for Nike in Chicago. When I was 9, our traveling baseball team (mostly made up of Lutheran’s) needed another player. There was this left handed boy who could pitch from the Catholic school that joined our team and from there we became not only teammates but great friends. Playing every sport together growing up, there was no doubt our best one was baseball. Our Dad’s were coaches on the team and our families would spend a lot of time together. I will always be thankful for how hard he pushed me to work in our sports together and for how much fun it always was. I have always appreciated how you carry yourself and admire the husband and father that you have become.
We hope you can join us on our special day!
